Meenakshi Mani

Meenakshi is an interdisciplinary researcher with experience in the fields of computer science and education who is critically examining how EdTech engineers conceptualize and construct AI education technologies.

Prior to joining the University of Edinburgh, Meenakshi completed her MA in Educational Foundations, Policy & Practice from the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she also served as a student researcher at the National Education Policy Center. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master's degree in computer science. She previously worked as a software engineer in the tech industry in the United States for ten years, with experience across a range of domains in both startups and larger companies like Amazon. Her intent is to draw from her technical expertise and background in education to engage in transdisciplinary work that explores how technological spaces and coded infrastructures influence the conceptualization and development of AI education technologies.
